Uttar Pradesh is taking steps to implement the New Education Policy across its educational institutions, from primary to higher education. In alignment with this policy, the state government has directed the education department to adjust school schedules to alleviate the academic workload on students. Under these changes, state schools will now have a reduced weekly teaching time of 29 hours. Classes will run for approximately five to five and a half hours from Monday to Friday, and only two to two and a half hours on Saturdays, in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the New Education Policy.

In accordance with the New National Education Policy, the statement from the Information and Public Relations Department specifies that the maximum duration for general subject classes will be shortened from 45 to 35 minutes, while major subjects will be taught for 50 minutes.

Furthermore, Uttar Pradesh is actively implementing various initiatives envisioned in the New Education Policy across all levels of education, including basic, secondary, and higher education. Additionally, state universities have recently updated the syllabus for Defence and Strategic Studies, emphasizing India's achievements and heroic endeavors, such as confrontations with China, in order to provide an Indian perspective on Defence and Strategic thought.
