The University Grants Commission (UGC) has established five regional committees with the aim of formulating comprehensive strategies for the successful execution of the New Education Policy 2020.

In an inaugural event, the Maharaj Sayajirao University of Baroda will be hosting a conference for the first time. This conference is dedicated to the examination of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 within the Western Zone. It is scheduled to take place on October 26, 2023, commencing at 9 a.m. and concluding at 5 p.m.

According to the official notification, the UGC is diligently working towards realizing the vision outlined in the NEP 2020, ensuring that its benefits are promptly extended to a substantial portion of the aspirational youth. The notification further stipulates the establishment of five zonal committees designed to assist universities in formulating a strategic roadmap for the effective implementation of the policy. These committees encompass Vice Chancellors from Central Universities, State Universities, Private Universities, and Deemed Universities. They have been organized into five distinct zones: Northern, NorthEastern and Eastern, Western, Southern, and Central Zones.

The conference holds paramount importance for all stakeholders involved. Consequently, the UGC earnestly invites universities and colleges to participate in the live streaming of the conference, as it promises to be highly advantageous for faculty, students, and staff alike.
