On Thursday, the American cloud-based software company Salesforce revealed its partnership with the Ministry of Education in India to equip 100,000 students with Salesforce skills over the next three years.

Arundhati Bhattacharya, CEO and Chairperson of Salesforce India, expressed enthusiasm about tapping into India's vast talent pool but emphasized the importance of skill development.

The collaboration aims to provide industry-relevant courses, recognized by the National Occupation Standard, and will extend "train-the-trainer" sessions, mentorship, and employment opportunities to educators. Salesforce partners and customers seeking skilled talent will also be connected to the program, which includes virtual internships for students.

The Department of Higher Education within the Ministry of Education plans to integrate industry-related courses on the SWAYAM platform in conjunction with Salesforce to enhance students' employability. Govind Jaiswal, Joint Secretary at the Department of Higher Education, highlighted the collaborative effort's potential to empower students for success in the job market and contribute to overall personal growth.

The training modules, as outlined in the official release, will be tailored on Trailhead, Salesforce's free online learning platform, based on the specific needs of the programs facilitated by the Ministry of Education and affiliated entities.
