Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has declared that the government has allocated Rs 100 crore for initiatives focused on incorporating Vedas and Indian languages into the educational curriculum. Under this initiative, students who pass the Class X (Veda Bhushan) and Class XII (Veda Vibhushan) exams administered by Vedic Boards will now have the eligibility to enroll in higher education institutions, including medical and engineering colleges.

This decision comes in response to the recent recognition of Vedic education by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), a government-designated organization. Students affiliated with Vedic boards such as Bharatiya Siksha Board (BSB), Maharshi Sandipani Rashtriya Veda Sanskrit Shiksha Board (MSRVSSB), and Maharshi Sandipani Rashtriya Ved Vidya Pratisthan (MSRVVP) will benefit from this development, as they will no longer be required to take an additional National Open Schooling Examination.

During the Sanskrit translation release of Laxmi Puran at Central Sanskrit University on Saturday, Minister Pradhan emphasized the potential for advancing social justice, women's empowerment, and women-led development by integrating the knowledge, values, and messages of the Vedas. He expressed hope that the University would actively work towards introducing Sanskrit and other Indian languages, literature, and traditions to the younger generation.
