In Delhi, an educational app has been introduced by the Department of Education (DoE) that simplifies the process of lodging complaints and raising inquiries for students and teachers. The app, called DOE Nirikshan, is aimed at addressing issues encountered by individuals within schools and reporting them to school administrators and higher-ranking education officials. Its primary objective is to promote a healthy and clean school environment. The app allows for the monitoring of reported issues by department officials, and it promises timely resolutions.

In addition to handling complaints, the app also serves as a platform for quick information sharing and requests related to school problems. The DoE expects that this app will enhance the efficiency and digitization of inspections related to school infrastructure, supplies, mid-day meals, stationery, and uniforms.

Students and teachers can utilize the app to submit various types of queries, which will be reviewed and resolved by the school's head. The entire process will be overseen by district deputy education officers at the zonal, district, and headquarters levels.

Users can log in using their student or teacher IDs, and upon logging in, they will access a dashboard displaying their details. New complaints or queries can be submitted via the 'New Issue' button. The app allows for categorizing queries and complaints, providing a textual description, and uploading up to six photographs. Users can also track the status of previous inquiries and their resolutions.

Only the school head has the authority to update the status of a raised query or complaint. Schools can check the status of these issues through the app and, if necessary, reject a complaint with a valid explanation. Once a problem is resolved, the school can mark it as 'Resolved' and close the case.

District deputy education officers can access queries and complaints only within their respective zones and districts, while officials at the headquarters have access to all complaints. The app has already seen over 500 downloads.

Aside from this app, the DoE also offers an online grievance filing system on its website, accessible to the public, including parents, for submitting complaints.
